Cookbook #3 : Homemade Chocolate Croissants

Cookbook #3 : Homemade Chocolate Croissants | www.bubblybeauty135.com
Hello Lovies ^_^
How are you?

In this post i will show you or better i will write you how to make your own Chocolate Croissants. The tricky part about this recipe is the time.It needs kind of a lot of time not to make it but waiting for it to be ready. You will see what i mean if you keep reading.
Trust me really worth the time that you will spent to make them.

What you will need:

  • 350 gr  milk
  • 55 gr  sugar
  • 14 gr  instant yeast
  • 500 gr  flour for all purposes (maybe you will need a little bit more)
  • 350 gr  butter
  • a little bit salt
  • pieces of chocolate

1.Heat up the milk for a little bit,you don't want to be hot, just in the room temperature or a little bit more. You mix it with the yeast, the sugar and the salt. After you add slowly the flour.

2.You mix it and add flour until the mixture won't be sticky in your hands. You end up with something like this...

3.You wrap it with plastic and you leave it in the refrigerator for about 1h.Then you put the butter between two parchments or waxed papers and with a rolling pin you pound the butter. You roll the dough and you put the butter on the top as you can see in the gif that i make for you below...

The only part that you can't see on the gif is that after you wrap the butter inside the dough you roll it a little bit and then you fold it.

4.In the end as you can see i wrap it again.I put it in the refrigerator for about 1h.

5.After the hour, you roll it again, you fold it like i show you in the end of the gif,and you put it again in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Don't forget each time you roll the dough in different direction than the last one.Like i show you in the photos. In the first it's how you fold it and in the second how you will roll it.

6.Repeat it again.

7.Repeat it again.

It's ok to leave it more in the refrigerator but you must complete all these steps within 8-12 hours.

8.You almost done.you roll the dough and you cut it in the shape that you want for your croissants.I cut heart shapes. If you want the original shape it you cut triangles. Here is the step that you can add the fillings for your croissants.I choose chocolate ( ofcourse ! )

Preheat the oven to 220οC.Set it later to 200οC and bake them for 20-25′.

And you are done. You just make your own croissants.I told that need time but really deserve it right?
I like to start the recipe the Sunday morning because it's a day that usually i stay home and clean and do laundry and all these stuff so the night i pamper myself and treat me with one,two or maybe three croissants.

Will you try out this recipe? What will you use as filling for the croissants?

p.s I tried to describe you the steps but i feel that it's all oer the place. So if you have any question let me know in the comments please ^_^

Hope you like it
Keep Smile :)
xoxo
